| There are TOO many movies that combine the two. Christmas Dog movies.
For a quick example. There is "The Dog Who Saved Christmas" but there is also "The Dog Who Saved Christmas Vacation."
And of course "Santa Buddies."

| And you discovered yet another dog movie, this time an Asylum rip-off of Santa Buddies. Good times. | |

With a tagline like "Homeless For The Holidays", I can only assume the makers of this film were all going "Ok, let's see how many people we can make cry during the course of this movie."

| I believe the recent tv movie "A Dog Named Christmas" sums up your point pretty well.
There's one I'm blanking on the title of, another tv movie, but you would SWEAR that it was directed by Tommy Wiseau. About a dog that comes to live with a man after his family dies in a car crash, and teaches him to love again. Then it moves on to a veterinarian who's mom just died because it turns out the dog is a freaking angel, or maybe just the harbinger of death.
Outright hilarity. | |

| I can almost tolerate dogs talking as long as they are talking to each other. It's easy to suspend some level of disbelief and assume that dogs communicate with each other through some means that's just dumbed down to actual words. However, when dogs start talking to humans that's where I draw the line. Dog's aren't capable of human speech - they don't have the larynx or mouth for it so it's all BS. | |

| Yeah, I hate when unrealistic things happen in fiction. Everytime I turn on a cartoon I just wanna scream at the screen, "People aren't made of ink, you sillies!" | |

Rofl. My wife's a big Pit Boss fan, so she'd love this. (For those who don't know, Pit Boss is a show about Shorty Rossi and his efforts to rescue Pit Bulls. Shorty is the voice of Hercules for the purposes of this movie. Hercules is Shorty's primary pit bull and shows up on the show often.)

| Wait - this Hercules Saves Christmas is a tie-in with a television show? Interesting. It's streaming on Netflix, btw, which is how I learned about it. Netflix basically said: "You've watched a lot of Christmas Dog movies lately - take a stab at this one!" | |

Yeah, well, it's Shorty and his dog. Not sure if there's any actual tie in to the show other than that. And Netflix does have a history of trying to troll you :-P
