PostSubject: Modded Classic Games   Sun Nov 11, 2012 12:03 am

This is about Classic console games that have gotten new life on the PC

I'm not going to bring up roms , or anything about the emulators, as i know that it is a Murky area, and if people are so inclined they can go figure all that out for themselves. But i don't see any harm in Showing everyone the work that has gone into improving the graphics of several older games. I will mostly be referring to Work done on n64 games,at least in this first post, as that is what i am the most familiar with personally .

Most of these videos are showing off HD texturing, Superior Ant-Aliasing,and Better Geometry. but a few show off ENB Shaders , Adding Bloom, Color Correction, And Shadow shaders , on top of all the other shit I mentioned before.

And, at the point you start adding ENB shaders and high resolution settings, you should know that you need at the very least 512mb VR , and honestly, a 1G VR pushes it safer. but if you have a reasonably modern desktop, 2G VR Nvidia Video cards are only like $70 Bucks. and if you can do that, you are golden with all this stuff, as well as doing the same thing with PS2 games....but I'll get to that another time......

Even the not so great classics have gotten some attention

but , i guess being a good or bad Game is debatable with some of these
...and this one is Hilariously narrated in German

This is a similar Texture pack to the other Zelda video, but it shows more, and has no shaders running

...........Also.....4 Swords Mod!!!!

And then with Actual 4 player network action....obviously, this is still getting tested ( i would mute it if i were you LOL)

And now a few Misc. ones

Found this Video using ENB series as a plug-in for MAME

this allows you to do the best settings on the emulator,
then add ENB Bloom, and extra anti-aliasing .
all this together can really smooth out the pixelation ,
and really does help older games to be much easier on the eyes
when using a modern monitor or tv

Real talk, it would be awesome if someone modded a version of Nightshade and made a PC version. That game should have been on the PC in the first place. On the NES makes it too slow. In fact, mod all NES point and click games and give them revival on the PC.
